Hi Peeps!

It has been too long that i leave this blog silent with no update. I'm sorry for those who waited and visited and hoping for fresh entry.

To be honest, this little wedding craft side business i developed since a couple of years ago had turn bigger than i expected, bigger than me! i just need to slow it down a little before it invade my life too much. One of the way is for me to stop updating my new crafts in this blog in hope that maybe i'll get less request. But turn out, requests keep coming in and at some point have gave some unwanted pressure to me.

I am truly grateful for this rezeki... it has open new opportunities beyond my expectation, Alhamdulillah! And being a crafter and designer at heart, aiming for big business is not my main goal. As much as i love money, i still think that i'm not too much of a business minded kind of person. What matter to me is to craft, design, and create to feed my starving passion to all things beautiful!

Therefore, i decided that i will take a long rest from doing anything wedding-y craft from now till about August 2011 (except for those who have engage me since 2010...). I want to chill a bit for this year..watch more tv and read more books, get new inspirations!

Basically i will be 'resting from 'wedding' to give room and time for me to explore more 'design'...eventually there will still be 'beautiful things' but no more bunga telur, hantaran, hand bouquet for the moment!

I will share with u my new exploration on 'design' when i'm truly ready...but for now, i rather keep it to a low key...

Lastly, thank you all dear clients, family and friends for the support that all of you have gave me.all your good words mean so much to me...and sorry for turning down new requests. i feel so bad, but i have to stick with my decision...

Bunga Telur Gantung : Coral Pink & Green Anemone

I suppose that pink is the champion colour for weddings in 2010! So far 80% of the orders that i received for this year are pink, pink & pink! I must say, pink are one of the most romantic colour of all time.

Bunga Telur Gantung : French Vanilla Rose

This fairy looking bunga telur was done for Marissa's wedding. She specifically mention that she wanted something off white, green and pink but only the softest of tones. The pearls was add on upon her request.

Marissa is going to hang these bunga telur on a white tree of branches. Oh, i think it is going to look really fairy and romantic!

Bunga Telur Gantung : Pink & Grey Anemone

A new flower for my bunga telur gantung collection. It is call anemone. I like this flower for it's black bud. Almost like a spider on it. Anemones portray simplicity but dramatic and it is a perfect match for any modern theme weddings.

These anemones flower are available in white, light pinkish peach, lollypop pink (as picture above), deep purple, and red.

Bunga Telur Gantung : The Indigo Flamingo

When i put up my Pink Flamingo bunga telur for viewing in my blog, the name sort of stuck and i got inquiries like 'can i have the pink flamingo in purple?' or 'can i have orange pink flamingo?'...so, i decided to name all orchids bunga telur as The Flamingo Collection.

So here are two version of purple tone orchid bunga telur which i call 'THE INDIGO FLAMINGO'



The good thing with giving pet names to your design is that it helps you to remember each and everyone of it without getting your brain to think hard trying to figure which to recall . It does the same thing to my bunga telur gantung collection. When i get inquiries about my products, even my dear client were smart enough to refer the products by it's petname. Rather than having the product coded in such complicated jumble up alphabets and numbers, petname works well for me and my dear clients. I can accurately picture what my client is requesting eventhough communication is through call/ sms!

The Pink Flamingo

Someone wanted a pink bunga telur for a non-wedding event. So in my mind was to create something pink,less romantic but elegant.

I have always, always, wanted to do my version of bunga telur using orchids, specifically phalaenopsis because besides roses, phalaenopsis is another flower that i really love and can make me feel happy for no reason!

So i search for my pink inspiration and goes with the keyword 'flamingo'.

So i found this beauty from here and thought for a second... 'ohh dear, u look so feminine and shy. But that neck of yours is verreh sexyeh!'

My translation of 'pink flamingo-orchid' in a form of bunga telur.

China Blue and English Rose

When Sarah my dear friend mentioned that she needed a bunga telur in white and blue colour, the next thing that popped in my mind was China Blue! so i search for some reference and found this truly inspirational...


its one brilliant beautiful dress aint it? silly me, i didnt note down the designer's name. if any of you know the designer of this dress, pls let me know.

so this is my version of China Blue bunga telur. Specially hand made for Zidan Umar's aqiqah. To the mama, congratulations Sarah! Semoga Zidan manjadi anak yg soleh dan boleh bermain bola seperti Zinadine Zidan...ekekeke.



Dan sebagai memeriahkan lagi majlis Zidan Umar, i've sponsored an additional batch for the majlis aqiqah... Since Sarah don't really have any strict theme, so i blended in some rosy stuffs and came up with English Rose bunga telur.

As usual, i start my work with some reference picture. I search for the word rose garden and this picture caught my attention. Ironically there is no single rose in this picture, but i fall in love with the layers of fushia-pink tone in it that it almost smelt rose. and because it's Audrey Hepburn, with that little emotion of hers... make me feel like she is the shy english rose :)

Bunga Telur Gantung Majlis Aqiqah

Here's a bunga telur i recently made for an aqiqah event.

I was a bit nervous when the client; Kak Aishah mentioned about wanting a batch of bunga telur in the colour of orange...agagagaga! i do love orange but never had i thought to produce a bunga telur in orange. in fact its quite rare to see much of orange selections in wedding things.

Once all confirmed i start off the task with my flower hunting to my regular shops and only to find that nice(and cheap) orange flowers can only be in two, too bright or too light that end up to be peach-y. But my key word was Sunkist Orange!

I found one that's closest to sunkist orange, however was at first quite reluctant to settle with it and want to hunt more. But i know that unless i buy the expensive ones, i may not be lucky to find anything nicer(and cheaper!). So, i purchase the flowers and was confident that i can work something out with getting the right ribbons.

On a different day, i went to another shop and spend almost 30 minutes in front of the ribbon rack and start doing what i looooveee most, picking and combining colours. Happiness!

Spent few nights kung-fu-ing my way to complete the whole batch within less than 10 days(pls be informed that i still have a day job!). In the end i was surprised by the possibility of making orange looking nice and sweet. I'm truly happy with the end product but what's matter most is when my client says,

"cantik...akak suka!"



Thanks kak aishah! Creating this particular bunga telur inspires me in many different ways. Creative juices spilling out of my head!
